Yotta Energy is the leading solar + storage technology provider. We simplify the storage of solar energy using decentralized, module-level battery that co-locates beneath the solar module on rooftops. Through our flagship product, SolarLEAF, we’ve pioneered a modular energy storage solution with smart thermal regulation to maximize the life and performance of the battery.
We are looking to add a Test Engineer to our team on a three month contract that may then evolve into a full-time role. If you are great at what you do, enjoy working in a startup environment, and are passionate about maintaining a workspace, we would like to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
• Learning operation and design of the Yotta SolarLEAF battery
• Performing bench testing manually using SAS, power supplies, DC loads, and inverters.
• Performing testing using LabVIEW and Python scripts.
• Troubleshooting, debugging and reporting results.
• Proposing tests for performance coverage.
• Building and maintaining fixtures for testing.
• Learning and using temperature chambers for environmental testing.
• Participation in Lab methods, 5S, and ancillary activities.
• Maintain test results and status within JIRA.
Qualifications:
• Experience with electrical and electronics testing and common test instruments.
• A relevant college degree.
• Experience with creating and documenting testing results.
• Experience with Python or LabVIEW, or similar programming language.
• Experience with solar or batteries desirable
• Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance
• Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures
• Ability to climb occasionally, and work at various heights
